    Hikma-Solutions is seeking for one of its clients in Luxembourg, a highly motivated Underwriting Manager/Risk Assessment Manager (m/f/x)

    FREELANCE CONTRACT-REMOTE POSSIBLE

    Are you eager to join an international team dedicated to the launch of a new European business branch in embedded insurance? Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Do you have a strong expertise you can bring to the table?

    Our client plays the agile work card to the full and actively encourage cooperation. Collaboration is a fundamental requirement for customer-centricity, agility, efficiency and results achievement.

    You will play a major role in our embedded insurance project which aims at integrating insurance in day-to-day sales or sharing services, closing the insurance gap to make customers life easier.

    You will be seconded to an international team composed of different experts dedicated to the launch of this new business, in a start-up and agile mode.

    It is expected from you that by nature you think out of the box, you like to challenge dead ends and when necessary find solutions to break down walls.

    Your missions:

    • Evaluate Applicant Profiles with Precision: Utilize your expertise in insurance principles and market trends to evaluate applicant information, claims history, and financial indicators. Your goal? To accurately determine coverage eligibility and set competitive pricing.
    • Objective Risk Assessment: Objectively assess risks, pinpoint potential application inconsistencies, and devise strategic solutions. Collaborate with product managers and actuaries to ensure a comprehensive risk mitigation approach.
    • Analyze and Decide: Work with complex data sets and alongside our actuarial team. Your analysis will guide critical underwriting decisions, blending deep industry knowledge with sharp analytical skills.
    • Detail-Oriented Policy Review: Scrutinize policy terms and documentation with unparalleled attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance every step of the way.
    • Communicate and Negotiate: Engage with partners and stakeholders both within and outside the organization. Your role involves simplifying complex insurance concepts, negotiating terms, and effectively addressing inquiries.
    • Innovate and Challenge: Question and refine pricing models, policy management practices, and data analysis methods. Your critical eye will drive efficiency and accuracy improvements.
    • Stay updated: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and technological advancements. Your foresight will ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
    • Shape the Future of Products: Actively participate in product design discussions and process optimizations with product managers. Your insights will influence the development of innovative and customer-centric insurance solutions.

    Your profile:

    • Prior experience of min 2 years in a similar role is highly desirable.
    • You hold a bachelor's degree preferably in fields such as insurance, risk management, finance, business administration, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
    • You are a strong communicator and fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
    • Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements and familiarity with insurance policies, coverage types, and exclusions.
    • Proven ability to work with spreadsheets for data manipulation and analysis.
    • With a creative mind: you know how to imagine and implement new solutions and products.
    • Customer orientation, professional rigor, critical thinking and proactivity.
    • Agility and pragmatism in a complex and changing environment.
    • Occasional business trips to Luxembourg if working in a freelance framework
