    Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) is one of the biggest banks in the Grand Duchy, offering retail, private, corporate and institutional banking, as well as treasury and financial market services.

    Deliver Finance, Risks & Compliance projects


    • Deliver Finance, Risks & Compliance projects in both Agile and Waterfall approach, ensuring that the business needs are justified (strategically aligned and positive business case), that the solution delivered meets the project's objectives and is effectively and efficiently deployed within the bank to allow the realization of the expected project benefits respecting the allocated budget.
    • Be accountable in the project's delivery.
    • Program and project structuration, coordination and monitoring.
    • Define and set up project approach (analysis, change management, test). Budget, business case, planning definition and monitoring. Stakeholders and project participants management. Risk and issues management.
    • Play the lead role in structuring, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.
    • Proactively managing and mitigating dependencies, issues and risks related projects and initiatives managed by the Finance, Risks & Compliance projects Team.
    • Review and reassess the business cases - stop a project when needed, say NO to the Top Management and Key sponsors.
    • Develop and communicate updates to senior management, Exco members, Board members.
    • Build support, commitment, and respect from others by demonstrating professionalism, integrity and expertise.
    • Reinforce our collaboration with the Business, Process and Architecture team.
    • Work hand to hand with Business lines and control/support functions to design products that meets clients' needs and fit with regulatory requirements.

    Your skills:
    * 5 to 10y of experience in banking industry as project manager or in position offering transversal knowledge of banking regulatory topics (Finance, Risk, Compliance, Audit...). Experience with Regulatory projects (e.g Basel, BCBS239, AnaCredit, etc.) is an asset


    • Master in Economy, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent
    • Written and verbal communication in French and English. Fluency in another European language will be considered as an advantage
    • Broad knowledge of the banking sector and/or an in-depth knowledge of one of its regulatory domains (Finance, Risk, Compliance, ...)
    • Experience with implementing business projects (Retail, Corporate, Wealth Management) will be considered as an asset
    • Proficient with MS Office tools (MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint). Experience with ClarityTM or any another Project & Portfolio Management tool
    • Project or Program management certification (PMI, Prince2, MSP) and/or Change Management (e.g. PROSCI) and/or demonstrable expertise in one of the following disciplines Waterfall/Agile/ SAFe/etc., is a plus
    • Strong organizational and time management skills: proficient in structuring, planning, monitoring of projects and taking the required actions to remediate deviation (problem solving)
    • Proven regulatory delivery focus (trusted partners). Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex regulatory documents
    • Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope
    • Ability to quickly analyze business practices to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with across all levels of seniority and functions with confidence, and to develop effective partnerships with key business partners.
    • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders to take desired actions.
    • Providing clear and audience aware communications and progress reporting for various Governance bodies and other stakeholders within the bank for informed decisions and governance.
