Job Description:

Our client is a highly regarded corporate investment bank.

They offer a superb opportunity for a lawyer with up to 3 years' PQE to work on some of the most exciting banking and financing work in Luxembourg for stellar global clients.

You will work with the Senior Legal Counsel to support the business and management with legal advice on all aspects of products, projects and transactions relating to corporate banking, institutional banking and treasury matters.

Your tasks will include:

Advising on legal issues relevant to corporate banking, business banking, and treasury matters
Drafting and reviewing a range of documents such as term sheets, facility agreements, and finance documentation.
Supporting derivatives transactions
Negotiating ISDA agreements
Providing guidance on managing legal risks, and on policies and procedures
Liaising with business teams, third party law firms, auditors, etc.
Other ad hoc legal project work or support to the Company Secretary if required

We are looking for a lawyer (with a Masters in Law, or with the CCDL or EU qualified), either with law-firm experience, or with an in-house background, to provide commercially orientated advice on a broad and dynamic range of legal issues in the corporate banking and finance field.

You'll be well organised, a team player, and enjoy an international environment.

In order to be considered for this role, you will:

Be a successful and energetic lawyer qualified in Luxembourg or another EU jurisdiction with initial experience in Luxembourg
Have excellent knowledge of the Luxembourg banking legal and regulatory environment, e.g. EMIR)
Have around 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar inhouse role, or in a law firm
Speak fluent English and French, with other languages being an asset
Have excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate well and work autonomously or in a group environment.
