A bachelor's degree in information technology and five years experience with computer programmes is essential.

You will have excellent writing and oral skills, and it will be necessary that you have experience with smartsheets, SQL, a data analysis programme.


Amazon's Business Intelligence, Transportation Engineering Services Team is seeking a Engineer (BIE) to support the development and implementation of scalable systems and reporting mechanisms for the organization.

The Engineering Services organization is responsible for delivering capacity to the Amazon Middle Mile network, including planning, configuration management, design, construction, startup, procurement, launch, and operations engineering teams.

The BIE would use analytics to support decision making, improve processes, and surface opportunities.


The BIE will be responsible for modeling complex/abstract problems and discovering insights through the use of statistical, mining and visualization techniques.

Further, you will help automate processes by developing deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboards to communicate these insights in real-time to the teams.

Successful members of this team collaborate effectively with internal end-users, cross-functional software development teams, and technical support/sustaining engineering teams to solve problems, and implement new solutions.

Key job responsibilities
A Business Analyst Manager assesses how organisations are performing and help them improve their processes and systems.

They conduct research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these solutions to their stakeholders.

You will lead and work alongside other business analysts. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.

To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Performing user acceptance testing.
Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
Managing competing resources and priorities.

  • Advanced degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience with Python, R, or other statistics/machine learning packages
  • Familiarity with forecasting, planning, optimization, and engineering economics gained
