J.P. Morgan Bank Luxembourg SA acts as depositary to a broad range of investment vehicles across numerous client segments. The role of a depositary is to protect the interests of the shareholders and safeguard the fund's assets in accordance with EU Regulations and the requirements of the CSSF.

Job summery

Job responsibilities

Execute and manage the completion of Alternative fund depositary checks across a portfolio of clients including risk assessments, assessing and understanding fund structure charts, asset verification, investment compliance, cash monitoring and other oversight functions.
Managing client deliverables and ensuring accurate reporting to clients, our other partners and stakeholders.
Participating in and being actively engaged in the day to day and strategic oversight programmes.
Ensure the Luxembourg Depositary Bank is at all times compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Good understanding and working knowledge of the alternatives fund requirements preferably in depositary, regulatory or compliance role.
Knowledge of Luxembourg private equity, real estate, infrastructure and illiquid asset depositary requirements.
Understanding of the Depositary roles and responsibilities under European and Luxembourg laws and regulations.
Professional judgement, strong communication and networking skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Broad commercial expertise combined with a background and experience of contractual and related legal processes.
Strong analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics and results, and identify trends.
High emotional intelligence, with sound networking and influencing skills to help the Depositary team be effective.
Excellent English language skills preferably combined with working proficiency French and/or German skills.
