LEGAL COUNSEL (M/F)

THE JOB:


If you are looking for an exciting career in a legal setting, we have an exciting opportunity working for a highly esteemed French Private Equity firm.

The Company is in the process of strategically developing the business and the legal department is at the forefront of this development.

We are seeking a legally qualified individual with a strong contracts background covering deals, as well as having a broad range of legal responsibilities.

These will include complex client matters, assisting with governance projects and ad-hoc legal support. The position is based in Luxembourg.

You will work closely with the legal team in Luxembourg, assisting them on corporate governance issues and also coordinating with other offices, with a close interaction with the M&A teams based in London and Paris.

The role will report to the Partner in charge of Legal.

The responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the external counsel to collect all documents surrounding the deals (such as NDAs, engagement letters, as well as various admin docs).
  • Reviewing legal documentation (as detailed above) in line with internal processes.
  • Follow up and ensure proper filing of various legal documents.
  • Accomplishment of various formalities related to corporate law.
  • Liaison with third parties on all legal aspects (auditors, lawyers, banks ).

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:


  • Qualified and experienced lawyer with 3 plus years professional experience in a similar setting.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize and work with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable track record as a team player, as well as an ability to work independently and to effectively manage a varied case load.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • French and any other language will be appreciated.
