We are looking for
Investment Manager within our International Private Bank (IPB) EMEA division, in the team dedicated to
Central Europe in particular, with the corporate title of Vice President.


The Investment Manager partners up with Relationship Managers to provide a single point of contact for clients to access the entire suite of wealth management capabilities and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management.

The individual leverages the insight and expertise of the Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Chief Investment Office and the global and regional investment committees to provide advice around long-term thematic investment opportunities, short-term tactical trades and asset allocation.

The Investment Manager employs a wide range of asset classes and capabilities, leveraging the knowledge from dedicate product specialists, to address clients' needs holistically, including lending and financing, deposits, discretionary and advisory portfolio management solutions, capital markets, private markets, alternative investments and wealth planning


In this function, Investment Managers' main responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the central point of contact for clients' investment needs and advice, being responsible for increasing the share of wallet from existing clients
  • Collaborating with the Relationship Managers to serve clients across the dedicated client book, and check account behaviour, flagging relevant updates and input for Know Your Client (KYC)
  • Providing strategic advice on clients' overall investment portfolio and driving holistic portfolio construction and asset allocation activities, delivering the CIO view to clients, ensuring portfolios are built and monitored according to the client's risk and suitability profile
  • Assessing clients' overall risk appetite and keeping client risk profiles uptodate and regularly reviewed
  • Overseeing the overall suitability and appropriateness of all investments for the clients; ensuring that all corresponding checks were performed
  • Monitoring clients' asset allocation across investments and providing ideas for rebalancing across product spectrum based on the CIO view
  • Collaborating closely with key internal partners including Discretionary Portfolio Managers and Deutsche Bank IPBs entire range of Product Specialists to deliver the firm's best capabilities, solutions and investment thinking
  • Proactively identifying client needs and corresponding opportunities to originate solutions across capital markets, discretionary & advisory mandates, and alternative investments
  • Proactively seeking to manage and control risks while maximizing financial returns in line with regulations
  • Understanding classic banking product needs of the clients including lending, deposits, and wealth planning, to identify opportunities and connect clients with the relevant Product Specialists
  • Arranging and executing regular investment and business reviews with assigned clients and relevant internal partners, highlighting, and filling any gaps where required
  • Supporting the Relationship Managers in their new client acquisition efforts, participating to client pitches and showcasing Deutsche Bank IPB capabilities
  • Acting within professional, legal, and ethical boundaries and guidelines, observing all internal and external compliance regulations and code of ethics and conduct; flagging and managing reputational risks and conflicts issues

Desired Investment Experience:


  • Proven experience in portfolio construction and asset allocation with knowledge and understanding of private clients/HNWI peculiarities
  • Managing and/or advising on multiasset class portfolios for clients across traditional and alternative assets
  • Opportunistic/ideadriven investing
  • Fluent in delivering a capital market outlook from both an investment strategist's view (i.e., top down) and a manager's view (i.e., bottom up) with the purpose of articulating why suggested allocations and solutions are appropriate for
