Based in the MEDIACentre of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at the University of Luxembourg, the E-Learning Specialist will play a key role in developing critical media knowledge and digital skills for teaching and learning purposes.

Your Role
:


The University of Luxembourg, through its Media Centre, is seeking to appoint an E-learning Specialist in the field of digital education and learning.

This position involves planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring projects, policies, and initiatives related to the broader area of digital transformation in teaching and learning.

Working closely with the office of the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs and colleagues in the field of e-learning across various university entities as needed, the E-Learning Specialist will contribute to the following activities:

  • Identifying and addressing the needs in the area of digital transformation of teaching and learning, and translating these into projects, actions, and initiatives for the benefit of the University's teaching and learning community.
  • Designing and implementing technological and methodological tools aimed at digitalising teaching and learning at the University.
  • Providing individual and group support for staff and study programmes looking to develop elearning approaches in teaching and learning.
  • Guiding the use of technology, including through guidelines and procedural notes, on elearning and digitalising teaching and learning across the university.
  • Liaising with various partners and stakeholders to manage initiatives and collaborations related to elearning, virtual reality, other immersive technologies, and the general digitalization of teaching and learning (e.g., AI).
  • Contributing to strategic reflections on elearning and the digitalisation of teaching and learning at the University.
  • Delivering briefings, recommendations, and projectspecific reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Participating in committees, working groups and in adhoc projects and initiatives.
  • Undertaking other tasks and duties as assigned.

What we expect from you:


  • A Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in an educationrelated discipline.
  • Experience in training or developing others, ideally students or academics.
  • A thorough and contemporary understanding of elearning.
  • A comprehensive understanding of instructional design practices relating to academic environments and technologybased learning.
  • Fluency in English. Working proficiency in French, German, or Luxembourgish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster the usage of new technologies by creating communities of practice and learners.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff of diverse profiles, including managers, academics, administrative, and technical colleagues.
  • Teamoriented and comfortable in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
