Description

Viking EMEA Marketing team consists of 5 marketing specialists - a product information and systems manager, communications and campaign manager, marketing event organizer, documentation specialist and a product information coordinator.


Mission of the position:


The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans in a B2B environment contributing to sales and profitability growth.

The Marketing Manager is the leader and given a few upcoming changes, building his/her team.

The Marketing Manager is positioned in the center of our organization working with various departments as well the outside world and is ultimately responsible for outgoing communication and ways of customer engagement as well provide incoming data and feed to business areas as (product) management, sales, customer services and product development.

The Marketing Manager reports to the Sales Director.


The Marketing Manager's mission is overlooking holistically the marketing function, build a strong marketing team, further professionalizing the marketing function, contributing ideas campaigns, budget responsible and its output as well contributing to a strong team working atmosphere.

Tasks


Objectives and responsibilities:


Marketing performance:
create a strategic marketing vision for Viking EMEA and execute marketing strategies.


Full responsibility of the Marketing function:
Increase brand awareness and market share

  • Define marketing strategies with the sales, PM's, and Operations
  • Analyze and feedback market trends including customer behavior, competition
  • Develop, manage and monitor the annual Marketing Budget
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns related to product launches and growth territories including social media, content creation and event management
  • Develop with HR on employer branding
  • Monitoring the performance of marketing campaigns

Management, and Team:
development of the marketing organization and investments

  • Build, maintain and upgrade an outstanding and motivated team in the Marketing Department
  • Review and improve, individual and team performance contribute to a performance driven organization, roles & responsibilities definition, job descriptions, appraisals, create a "best place to work" environment in the office
  • Identify, propose and justify investments to third parties
  • Budget ownership and accountability of the marketing function

Requirements:


Personal qualities:

Demonstrable experience in B2B marketing

  • BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field (sociology, business statistics, economics)
  • You are a credible and strong communicator; you know how to drive change, get people on board, motivate them and create a positive working environment developing people & processes is important for you
  • You have analytical skills and are able to create action plans, juggle multiple projects and monitor progress
  • You are result oriented and use to measure performance in a numeric way
  • IT skills, including social media
  • Fluent English is required

Location / Traveling:


  • Location: Luxembourg preferred
  • Traveling place: within EMEA (appr. 1015%) and, occasionally, intercontinental
