ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

SES Luxembourg is looking for a EU Programmes Subcontractors Specialist to support the determined SES EU Programmes team and the sourcing of products and services in relation to IRIS2 (Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnection & Security by Satellites) programme in line with the Vendor management & Procurement guidelines.

In this position you will collaborate with global stakeholders at SES in an equal partnership, building and maintaining the respective internal relationship and develop options and opportunities for purchasing hardware, software, and services in relation to IRIS2.

You will be responsible for

_(this is not an exhaustive list)_:

Make sure Vendor Management & Procurement policies are implemented
Understanding of IRIS2 programme requirements for products and services, underlying strategies, and constraints
Prepare and execute of RFI/RFPs to select vendors for IRIS2 programme. RFI/RFP activities including but not limited to documents drafting, response to vendors questions, negotiation, followup, response analysis, etc.
Support pricing and contract negotiations with vendors. Including the flow down of customer Terms and Conditions to existing or new agreements
Perform analysis on existing vendors base, including their contractual agreements
Identify potential suppliers, including SMEs & startups, and their eligibility to the IRIS2 programme
Contribute with programme management matters such as status reports, time schedules, cost analysis, resource quantification, risk management/mitigation, etc.
Support internal alignment, coordination works and report weekly on Achievements/Updates, Next Steps, & Risk Assessment
Coordinate crossfunctional negotiation teams through commercial evaluation of proposals, vendor discussions, conclusions, and where needed with involvement of the legal department contracting

YOUR PROFILE:

Must Have

5 years of experience in procurement, ideally purchasing products & services, negotiating with vendors, contracting, and building/managing supplier relationships
Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
Eligibility to work under the EU security requirements of the Programme
Fluency in written and spoken English, German is an asset
Nice to Have
Project management skills
Experience in the telecommunication / satellite industry
Background in the public procurement process
Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Problem solving skills, think practical, work structured, and solutions oriented
