The opportunity
Currently we are looking for
Senior Technician for our Mercury plant.

On this position you will have the opportunity to:

Be part of an innovative, highly automated tire production plant in collaboration with a diverse, international team
Work with the latest technology in a digitalized environment
Develop your skills on preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, including mechanical, electrical maintenance and maintenance of industrial automation systems (PLCs)
Seek and implement new ideas to drive safety, quality, and reliability and productivity
Grow in your career as a permanent shift leader by leading a team of skilled technicians

Your responsibilities:

Drive to zero equipment breakdown by implementing best practices and preventative maintenance:

Operate workstations as needed to support daily production.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns, equipment malfunctions and deteriorations.
Support development of training materials related to machine reliability and operations. Train others on machine/equipment setup and operations.
Manage Identification and implementation of improvements for increased productivity
Be responsible to manage spart parts and preventive maintenance plan
Management and implementation of corrective maintenance (red tags)
Monitoring of production performances of own area
Replace the shift leader in case of absence, lead the team and assure performance in terms of safety, quality, delivery and cost

To join our team you will need:

Education

Bachelor in mechatronics / automation / electrical engineering or a technical degree with equivalent experience

Languages

Good knowledge of English. French and or German are considered an asset

Experience

Shift leading experience is considered an asset
5+ years of working experience in manufacturing environment is a considerable asset
EtherNet/IP Network experience desired

Other skills

Good problemsolving skills and selfinitiative
Knowledge of PLCs
Ability to troubleshoot / improve mechanical and electrical systems.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills combined with the capability to lead and coach coworkers
Sense of urgency and commitment to resolve issues.
Position requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
Desire to coach junior team associates, develop situational leadership skills, take responsibility of shift results
