About the role:


  • Coordinate the annual strategy for EPO commodities (e.g. iron ore, solid fuels, ferro alloys and base metals, others), products (electrodes, refractories, others and services (industrial services, logistics, others) by providing market outlook and respective risk assessment
  • Coordinate tools for analyzing market trend anticipation for Shortterm and Midterm, which is aligned with Longterm outlook of Corporate Strategy studies. This includes coordination of Shortterm forecasting models for commodity prices.
  • Coordinate corporate processes related to raw materials, including reporting activities, investors communications, etc.
  • Establish effective networks in the global commodity business/public institutions and participate in seminars/conferences, in order to structure a market intelligence system to ensure the bestinclass forecasting capability
  • Coordinate market knowledge and information with objective to share it across the internal organization to enhance the market intelligence capability of the commodity teams and regional purchasing platforms
  • Maintain project pace and commitment of all levels in assigned projects
  • Structure and harmonize methodologies and analytical problemsolving approaches when developing strategic studies, market/supplier analysis to sustain the internal knowledge of the strategy department
  • Represent the Strategy department in Internal and External Auditing. Define internal KPIs and identify improvement actions
  • Challenge existing procedures/status quo with factbased approach and facilitate deployment of best practices including Stateofart Machine Learning/AI Methods, Procurement 4.0 Digital tools
  • Lead transversal projects related to key raw materials procurement and supply chain (e.g. upstream supply chain optimization, vendor management, benchmarking, M&A, competition watch on Innovation in Procurement, others)
  • Identify and tailor world class supply chain best practices to specific business needs of AM

Your profile

  • Solid knowledge/background of Economics. Engineering degree with Master's in Economy or Economy degree with strong experience of microeconomic modeling for industrial sector is a minimum requirement.
  • At least 23 years of experience in a strategic role in a global industrial organization/consultancy a
  • Proven track record in supply chain management, strategic forecasting and procurement
  • Knowledge of traded products (iron ore, coking coal, base metals and ferroalloys)
  • Good knowledge of ArcelorMittal industrial assets, internal processes and professional network
  • High energy and selfmotivation
  • Strategic thinker, team worker, solid communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Openminded, willing to engage in evolving challenges and tasks
  • Change management skills and experience
  • Proven ability to work in multicultural environments
  • Fluent in English. Other additional European language is appreciated.
