Dutch-speaking Accountant – Family Office, No Timesheet

Our client is a Family Office, which was created 20 years ago. This company is looking for a person with experience in accounting, and who speaks Dutch fluently. This language is mandatory for this structure as it is a part of the mindset of the company, and as all of the employees speak this language.

Your future responsibilities will be adapted to your profile, from classic accounting tasks to managerial responsibilities (e.g. the review of the accounting handled by less experienced colleagues). There are 15 people who work for the Family, and who act like members of a family as the team is friendly and has a strong team spirit

The group also has a department dedicated to investments, with analysts and other accountants, located abroad.

Your Responsibilities | Finance – Accounting – Family Office

• You are responsible for the management of the investments and entities of the Family, notably in Private Equity.
• You are in contact with the team located abroad and you share all of the information you have on your side to the analysts in this team.
• You are responsible for the review and/or preparation of financial statements, and for the management of the daily bookkeeping for the entities.
• Your objective is to make the business of the Family grow. You analyze potential investments, growth prospects, and the current statistics to find potential improvements.
• If you are used to managing a team, this will be an asset. You will have to supervise Trainees in that case.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Accountancy – Accountant – Luxembourg

• You have at least 4 years of experience in accounting or fund accounting in a fiduciary or a PFS in Luxembourg. Experience in an investment firm or Family Office will also be taken into consideration.
• You are fluent in Dutch, both verbally and written. You also speak English fluently.
• You are able to manage a portfolio of entities composed of SOPARFI, or Private Equity.
• You like human-sized environments. Indeed, this company is composed of less than 10 people in Luxembourg, with no staff turn-over. So, it is important for the Family Office that you appreciate this type of environment.
• You are professional and able to keep information confidential.
• You are proactive and have strong communication skills. You are not afraid to ask questions and to put forward your ideas to improve internal processes.
  
  

Offer | Boekhouding – Accountancy – Financieel

• Depending on your work experience, you will receive a salary of up to € gross per year. In addition to this salary, you will benefit from an additional discretionary bonus.
• This Family Office is located in the city center of Luxembourg, and is easily accessible by public transport.
• What makes this structure unique is that it is a mono Family Office : this represents a real asset, especially because of the stability and growth of the Family you will work for.
• The managing director of the structure is young, with a dynamic and open-minded mindset. As a result, the spirit and the atmosphere internally are friendly.
• You will have the opportunity to travel to the main office in the Netherlands, to participate in team buildings for example.
• In this in-house function, you will not have timesheets in this structure.
