Your Role
:


As part of its third mission, the Université du Luxembourg also aims to be relevant to its community and generous in sharing the knowledge created by its professors and researchers for the benefit of the wider community.

To this end, efforts are made to ensure a public engagement, to promote scientific mediation and disseminate knowledge to a wide audience.

Under the direct supervision of the Vice-Rector Partnerships and International Relations, the role of the Partnership development officer - dissemination and scientific mediation will be:

  • In conjunction with the Vice-Rector for Partnerships and International Relations,you will identify target audiences (in particular young people and their teachers, as well as business stakeholders) and priority themes for the dissemination of knowledge created or taught at the University;
  • Identify and update a portrait of the scientific dissemination and mediation activities carried out at the University, and provide an attractive showcase for the targeted recipients and beneficiaries of this knowledge. This showcase should be representative of the various fields of research covered at the University;
  • Collaborate with the initiators of major existing initiatives and support their actions;
  • Coordinate the University's various science outreach activities into initiatives (seminar or workshop series, summer school, etc.);
  • Provide logístical support for such events;
  • Actively seek sources of funding for dissemination activities outside the University;
  • Forge strong links with key stakeholders in the dissemination of knowledge and ensure the communication and visibility of science outreach activities to the entire University community, as well as to various stakeholders in civil society and government authorities;
  • Identify researchers and lecturers within the University who offer excellent outreach potential, and support the creation of knowledge dissemination platforms in collaboration;
  • Work with researchers to facilitate the transferability of their knowledge to target audiences;
  • Encourage and support citizen participation in research projects, including making citizens aware of the importance of their contribution and facilitating relationships with researchers;
Promote citizen participation in research activities at the University;

  • Promote the efforts and successes of our researchers in the dissemination of scientific knowledge to the public and develop measures to reward or recognize contributions within the University community.

What we expect from you:


  • Master's degree. Ph. D. is a is considered as strong advantage;
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (experience or training in outreach activities and knowledge transfer);
  • Proven relationship management experience in developing and maintaining partners networks;
  • Knowledge of the academic environment and experience with collaborating with scientists;
  • Ability to work in an international, multicultural, and multilingual environment;
  • Team player with strong organization and selfmanagement skills;
  • Demonstrates a proactive and engaging communication style that promotes collaboration and positive relationships to diverse audiences.


Please note that travelling abroad Luxembourg might be requested and attending events that take place out of the regular working hours on an occasional basis.
