    Description

    What's the role?
    This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the established Luxembourg entity and become a key member of our team further developing the business. The role sits within the Depositary Team and reporting to a Depositary Senior Manager level.

    As an Manager, you will be mainly focused on the "day-to-day" tasks for complex Fund structures and to oversee the tasks performed by more junior staff. Depending on background and experience, you will be allocated to cash flow monitoring, assets record-keeping and ownership verification reconciliation responsibilities, as well as carry out oversight duties related to valuation, income distributions, investment restriction controls monitoring, and transfer agency activities. You will be delivering the different reports, escalating issues, providing and preparing the checklists when the tasks are done. You will support the onboarding activities of new clients and funds, as well as present Depositary updates to clients, AIFMs, and Fund Management Bodies.     What You'll Be Doing

    • Support the on-boarding of new depositary clients/mandates by delivering risk assessment reports (when starting a new relation);
    • Maintain the due diligence calendar up to date and support the risk assessment (risk rating) process;
    • Support the depositary Senior managers with external party's requests such as CSSF assessment, audit queries, etc.;
    • Support the depositary Senior managers in reviewing questionnaire responses for ISAE/SOC reports;
    • Provide regular feedback on the results of the due diligence activities to the Management of the Depositary Services in order to initiate the regulatory required escalation process to the AIFM;
    • Own the depositary controls such as Cash Monitoring, Safekeeping and Oversight;
    • Monitoring the timely and efficient performance of control tasks carried out by more junior team members.
    • Ensuring a sound understanding of complex fund structures and acting as an escalation point for operational and technical issues
    • Ensure proper and timely follow-up on transactions initiated by complex fund structures, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure accurate processing;
    • Take ownership of fund audits by reviewing clients' asset portfolios and coordinating responses to auditors;
    • Manage and perform quality control on tasks carried out by more junior staff;
    • Ensure high level of care in the completion of tasks and report directly to the team's senior management;

    The ideal background for this role:

    • Holding a Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Administration. A Masters degree is considered a plus.
    • Proven experience of minimum 5 years ideally in another Depositary, fund accounting firm, an audit company or any relevant entity servicing funds in the E.U.
    • Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including contributing to and being part of a strong team spirit
    • Client-oriented with ability to build strong relationships with internal and external parties
    • Ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities with a commitment to delivering high quality work
    • Excellent organizational skills complemented by a "can do" attitude
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to work under pressure
    • Ability to analyse and apply a large volume of technical data, and translate into simple language for a non-specialist audience

    Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
    This role can be based in our Luxembourg office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual's preferences and circumstances.
