WHAT YOU WILL DO?
As a Fund Accountant (FA), you are part of an assigned client team. You work closely with the Legal Account and Fund Accounting Managers to continuously exceed our client's expectations.

The FA will report to the Fund Accounting Manager and Managing Director and is responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial tasks for a growing portfolio of private equity, private debt, real estate and hedge funds, and SPVs.

The FA is expected to continuously develop personally and professionally, deliver added value to all our disciplines and contribute to the further growth of our office.


Main responsibilities are:

  • Managing a client portfolio and being the first point of contact for clients, auditors and (tax) advisers regarding all financial and tax responsibilities;
  • Onboard new clients, mainly private equity and private debt fund structures;
  • Setting up and maintaining financial administrations, databases and fund accounting records;
  • Preparation and review of statutory annual financial statements (LUX GAAP/ IFRS); NAV reports, budgets and cash flow statements;
  • Analyze financial data to create client specific reporting;
  • Management of bank accounts and execution of client payments monitoring transactions of our clients and their structures;
  • Perform miscellaneous finance and administrative tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements and
  • Actively sharing financial and accounting knowledge (cross border: Netherlands, Curaçao, Singapore and Bulgaria).

HOW DO YOU FIT INTO THE TEAM?
As a Fund Accountant, you must manage ad hoc activities next to your daily work. In this position, you must prioritize what is important and have a hands on, flexible, service minded work mentality.

You are proactive, know what you are capable of, possess excellent communication skills, and are not afraid of asking questions.


Other relevant qualifications for this profile:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in business administration, accounting or an equivalent;
  • Min 12 years relevant work experience in (fund) accounting within the fund and corporate services industry in Luxembourg or the Netherlands;
  • Interest in fund structures;
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP/ IFRS);
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical and leadership skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A strong sense of responsibility;
  • Self motivated and aptitude in decision making and problem solving;
  • Fluent in English (both orally and in writing);
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
