We are looking for a Risk Management intern and happy to help students to take their mandatory internship with school agreement, share their fresh ideas and have working exposure with us to enhance their career in the financial services industry.


Your Role

You will provide assistance to the IFDSL Risk Management Department to ensure that the risk management process and governance is operating effectively throughout IFDSL and that any risk issues are properly escalated and addressed.


Your Team
You'll be supporting the IFDS Risk Management Department and directly reporting into a Manager.


Your Responsibilities

  • Assist Risk Team to deliver and improve periodic and ad hoc reporting to State Street Bank Luxembourg (SSBL) and IFDSL Senior Management.
  • Assist Risk Team to perform the yearly risk exercises (mainly Risk and Control Self-Assessment).
  • Support the preparation of various committee meetings including collection/preparation of meeting documents, organization of the meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and tracking of action items.
  • Record and analyze incidents and breaches to identify the root cause and determine if appropriate mitigates have been implemented.
  • Engage with various parts of the organization to help improve risk management knowledge and help ensure that relevant concerns are escalated appropriately and that adequate remedial actions are defined and implemented.
  • Participate and assist Risk Department to organize various training decks, courses, case studies in order to raise and promote risk awareness culture across the organization.
  • Actively participate in the IFDSL and SSBIL various social events to enlarge your network.
  • Adhere to the operational principles PACE & L: Professional, Accountable, Client Focused, Excellence and Leadership in all tasks and interactions.

Your Profile

  • Bachelors degree
  • Financial or Business education would be an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite with a special focus on Excel.
  • An enthusiastic team player with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to details, strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal) a musthave, other European languages would be a plus.
