Accounting Team Leader (M/F) - English speaking - Luxembourg Office
Work Permit Required


Our client, experiencing significant growth, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Team Leader to join their Luxembourg office (new position - Based in Luxembourg-city).


This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, leading the accounting team, and driving the financial reporting process.


Major Responsibilities:

Ownership of General Accounting Functions:

You will take full responsibility for the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) for several companies within the group.

Day-to
  • Day Accounting Activities:
Ensure smooth operation of daily accounting tasks, providing guidance and oversight to the accounting team.

Policy Development and Internal Controls:
In line with the Head of Accounting's guidelines, develop accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Month-End and Year-End Processes:

Support the Accounting Manager with crucial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Tax and VAT Management:

Act as a key driver for tax and VAT returns, both locally and internationally, ensuring compliance and optimization.

Intercompany Reconciliations:

Facilitate effective communication and reconciliation between group companies.

Cash Flow and Reporting:

Prepare and analyze weekly cash flow reports and other financial documents as required.

Customer and Supplier Account Management:
Monitor and follow up on the balances of customers and suppliers to maintain healthy financial relationships.


Profile Requirements:


Education:
Post-secondary academic degree in Accounting.


Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in commercial company accounting in Luxembourg, with proven experience in team leadership and management.


Languages:
Fluency in English


Skills:

Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.


Software Proficiency:
Excellent knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Excel (including macros and complex pivot tables).


Personal Qualities:
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
